Our boys who are 14 and 16 have never been on any special diets -we just feed

them organic and healthy as much as possible -and even if you feed your child

organic and healthy...and even if you are from India and feed your child daily

the ayurvedic foods in NV -don't be shocked to see the same dramatic results.

Outside diet from what I've seen makes no difference in whether it works or not

-we are noting an almost 100 percent success -and some SLPs are finding it to be

100 percent for their caseload of those kids on it.

Sorry Roopa just saw this now. There are rare cases for those that are going

through extreme detox that it comes through the skin

" Transient urticarial-like rash has been seen in rare individuals undergoing

severe detoxification reaction. Such rashes were found to abate when product

intake is stopped or reduced. "

http://www.drugs.com/drp/whey-protein-isolate.html

It's probably because you've been inconsistent and the toxins that once again

may have built up from the ear infection meds etc. You may have to reduce the

dosage until the rash goes away and increase liquids a bit and gradually raise

it until you are back on track. The good thing is that NV is 100 percent just

food (and some of which you must be very familiar with) There are no known side

effects to any of the foods in it -excluding of course allergy which would be

rare.

The casein free natural whey isolate protein is one of the foods in NV that

" plays a very important role of dramatically raising the antioxidant

glutathione. " The antioxidant glutathione—critical for the body to excrete

metals—typically works by binding to heavy metals, which the body then knows to

eliminate. In 2004, researcher Jill , Ph.D., of the Arkansas School of

Medicine, led a pioneering study that showed autistic kids had significantly

less glutathione than typical kids—which put their bodies in a state of

" constant oxidative stress. " In other words, autistic kids were genetically

predisposed to have low glutathione levels, making them particularly susceptible

to heavy metal toxicity. "

I agree good diet doesn't make a difference as that's what I was saying too -but

some believe if you eat healthy you'll get all you need -but it's not just what

you consume but what you digest that matters. For example with this study here

they are sprinkling enzymes on foods to help kids with autism get more of the

essential amino acids but they don't explain that protein from meat would be the

most difficult for the body to break down and protein from whey isolate would be

one of the easiest as it's already partially broken down

Once you can get regular on the NV you should then see more surges than in just

speech. I know that is one area we all think of first -but there are so many

other areas we see progress in. I would love to get you and others in this

group from India together to share about the foods in NV that are not as known

to those in the west. I don't know if you read the message for example I sent

out about Sheetal from NY -she has a 5 and a half and 7 and a half year old with

autism. She didn't think NV would work for her children as they are on a 100

percent organic healthy diet and of course consume the botanicals in NV as they

are in the foods she prepares from India. Sheetal's story is one of the best

examples for dosage dependency too.

Within a week her daughter had such dramatic surges in speech, social skills,

academics, fine motor -noted not just by her and her husband but the

professionals.

Her son on the other hand who has severe behavior issues did not have any surges

and his behavior got worse. She told me that even before NV she would sometimes

start crying because he would be so cold to her and while she was on the floor

crying he would come over and bite her -things like that.

So I asked Sheetal what dosage she had her children on. Her 7 and a half year

old daughter was on 2 scoops and her 5 and a half year old son was on 1 and a

half scoops. Once we spoke and she raised his dosage -within " 3 days " his

became an " angel " and has had improvements in speech, social and school -she

promised me that she was going to write an entire update. Because if just say

she only had her little one on it - I wouldn't have blamed her if she thought it

wasn't working. I mean who would know that a half scoop can make that HUGE of a

difference?!! But it does with NV. There are cases where it works at a lower

dosage but for most it's dosage dependent.

Let me know if you want me to put you in touch- email me at lisa@...

Sheetal is part of this group but even if she is reading this I don't know if

she'll answer here -but she's already met with Dawn Falley from our group who

lives not far from her who also has 2 kids with autism (and seizures -Dawn's

story is here

http://pursuitofresearch.com/2010/11/22/is-nutriiveda-creating-a-paradigm-shift-\

in-treatment-of-speech-impairments/ ) But it is truly remarkable to hear the

updates of her kids as again they were on a super healthy diet that included

most of the same foods...so why does NV work and that didn't???

Hope your little one's ear infections clear up soon!!!
