We took our 2.5 year old son to a new ped neurologist today (Dr. Cargan in

Mountainside, NJ) and got our new diagnosis--moderate to severe apraxia (with

SID and low truncal tone). My son was diagnosed with ASD when he was 21 months

old and it never really felt right to us. He has some of the typical autistic

symptoms- hand flapping, toe walking, finger tapping, so he looks autistic

sometimes. I have spent the past year wondering if he is autistic, apraxic or

both. I am just so happy and relieved to have a true diagnosis.

So, I am looking for a good Prompt SLP in Warren, or Sussex county NJ

area.

Thank you!
