Guest guest
I am wondering WHAT tests are good to have as a baseline standard, and have your children gotten ALL or many of these, which ones? My son is 3.5yrs old with severe verbal apraxia, (he has been dx many times, so I am not looking for testing to necessarily tell me he has this). He has never gotten any standarized testing done, even though we have many, many evals done in the past 2 years. The ONLY one he has gotten is a " Preschool Language Scale:4th ed " by a SLP who said she worked with and knew apraxia well..hmmm. These are some of the tests I have found in my research, are they used often? Are some better than others? who gives these tests? Do I demand my school district to use some of these? Do I have these done privately before he starts with his IEP to judge for ourselves a baseline? FOR SPEECH: Verbal Motor Production Assessment for Children (VMPAC) the Apraxia Profile Kaufman Speech Praxis test the Screening Test for Developmental Apraxia of Speech (STDAS-2) FOR IQ TESTING: Kaufman Assessment Battery for Children (Kaufman-ABC) Leiter International Performance Scale (Leiter-2) Test of Non-Verbal Intelligence 2 (TONI-2) for ages 5 and up thank you all so much for your help with my questions!!
