Guest guest
Hello Everyone - I got word yesterday that the son of a lifelong friend was taken to the hospital with pneumonia, was placed in ICU, went into a coma, and had been put on life support. Today the word was he was life flighted from the son's local hospital to one in Bakersfield, CA (I live in IL as does my friend - she and her husband flew out to CA yesterday evening). The word tonight from my friend is that her son, who is in his early 30's and just celebrated his infant son's first birthday, has H1N1 and pneumonia. My friend and the family is not allowed to go into the ICU room because of possibility of infection (both to him and from him) but they can at last see him through the windows of the room, although he is still in a coma. 's wife has been told that giving their child the H1N1 inocculation is imperative at this point, but she is refusing (I know we all had the major discussion a few months ago about flu shots). Please put , and his family, in your thoughts and prayers - he is a terrific kid and has so much in his life now. Thanks. Guest guest
Keeping the son of your lifelong friend in Bakersfield California in our prayers today. It is a beautiful Sunday here deep in the heart of Texas and I will light a candle for him tonight. On a side note, I think I agree with your friend's daughter in law. If not only for the fact that the vaccine will not do any good at this point because the exposure has already occurred.
