Guest guest
I can't remember how long ny was on nutriiveda, but checked the archives and you posted just recently that his doc increased his Trileptal medication, and if that was just raised, drooling and tremors are listed as some of the more mild side effect of that drug. (see the note from the pharmacist) http://www.druglib.com/adverse-reactions_side-effects/trileptal/seriousness_hosp\ italization/3/ Fortunately unlike meds -foods don't cause side effects unless one is allergic or has some sort of typically rare medical condition. I do agree it's a good idea to stop nutriiveda right now and perhaps give his body time to adjust to the new level of meds -but I hope at some point we can learn more about how this can help your son with Sotos Syndrome, and perhaps others who have children with Sotos can share what helps them. It's probably impossible for one thing to work for all syndromes and conditions -but then again nutriiveda is just whole food essential nutrients. But you are on the right track trying and not giving up -you're an awesome mom and ny is fortunate to have you there for him. From what I read " There is no standard course of treatment for Sotos syndrome. Treatment is symptomatic " http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/sotos/sotos.htm I again there is a brighter future tomorrow with more wisdom how to help ny more. Hugs to you and ny, =====
