Teen's successful " chocolate factory " Kinver's Willy Wonka launches golden ticket giveaway 4:14pm Tuesday 4th May 2010 KINVER’S very own Willy Wonka is giving away ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ style golden tickets in his choccie bars - offering chocoholics chance to win West Midlands Safari Park goodies. Young chocolatier Louis Barnett has launched the ticket giveaway to promote his growing range of Biting Back Bars and to highlight the plight of some of the world’s most endangered animals. Louis, aged 18, who has carved out a succesful career over the last couple of years since his quirky edible ‘Chokolit’ boxes hit the shops, has been concentrating on the bars - which have an ethical and environmental emphasis. And now - there are 41 golden tickets lurking inside the chocolate treats available at the safari park, offering an array of prizes for animal lovers including two VIP passes to the Bewdley tourist attraction, free food vouchers, free family passes and a cheetah feeding experience. Louis, who is often referred to as a real-life Willy Wonka, said he took inspiration from the smash-hit Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie for the golden ticket giveaway - which he hopes will “raise awareness of the animals and drive forward funds for charity.†There are now nine different Biting Back Bars - and 10p from each one sold goes to charity to help under-threat species including the orangutan, the gorilla, the black rhino, the elephant, the Amur leopard and other endangered big cats. All the featured animals are at risk of extinction - particularly the orangutan, which Louis fears could be consigned to the history books in just a few years if more cannot be done to protect its habitat from being ravaged by palm oil producers. He told the News: “They’re saying we’ve got four years to save them - if we’re lucky, we might even have less time than that.†The teenaged entrepreneur, who set up his company ‘Chokolit’ in his parent’s garage after he was taken out of school due to problems with dyslexia and dyspraxia, has already donated thousands to conservation and animal welfare groups from the sale of his charity bars. But he hopes the new giveaway will help pull in even more money to help save some of the world’s most iconic animals from extinction.
