Guest guest
Does Nutriveda have a taste? My son is very sensitive to different tastes & smells. I'm considering giving this product to him but am debating exactly how I will administer it to him. He eats/drinks very few things. Thanks, Myra From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of kiddietalk Sent: Tuesday, April 20, 2010 11:45 AM Subject: [ ] Tanner update!!! I just came from Tanner's school because I had to drop off lunch for him and the head of school was standing at the front so we spoke again. Tanner is now reading (and enjoying) the book The Outsiders and has been accelerated to a 9th grade level for reading. His grades have always been wonderful in certain areas but have lagged in language and I am thrilled to report that he has gone from around a 70 in language (sometimes below by a few points) to closer to a 90!!! Tanner's been on nutriiveda now steadily since October and there is no doubt in the mind of any professional that works with my son that it has had a profound positive affect on him -and not just in academics but certainly that's one of the areas. This is something Tanner wrote in class after about 2 months on Nutriiveda that I just found -and want to share it here as I am so proud of how far his written ability has come. He has greatly improved from here as I posted one of his writing examples (a 3 day imaginary diary) not long ago. Prior to nutriiveda writing/language was always weak for him and he did NOT enjoy reading even though he read on age. But when I read the following even though it is in the earlier days of nutriiveda it shares with me a glimpse of the Tanner that he used to be -and the one that he is today. While I am so proud of him part of me feels that the old Tanner that I had accepted as " that's just the way he is " is gone. Tanner today is normal -there is no other way to sum it up better. In fact as reported by head of school far above normal. I do credit many things for getting him there -but to all of you I want to say that there is no doubt in my mind that somehow nutriiveda ha! s helped Tanner neurologically- and in so many ways it would be hard to sum them all of. But in the following again was only after 2 months on nutriiveda- still many mistakes to how he can express himself -but the old Tanner was still there -the new Tanner too. And what was written in that light was profound because Tanner had the courage to " join the race " Perhaps those of you with older children can read this to them from Tanner (age 13) I will type exactly the way it's written: In Class Write The thrill is not just in winning, but in the courage to join the race. I think what the quote means is even now that it is fun winning. But it is the courage that is inside you. It doesn't matter if you win or lose it is all it matters if you try and get that courage out. Once you get that courage out then you can join the race with them and be at a fair game. One of my examples is that I didn't really want to skateboard because my body was nervous, but I pushed my way through it and I'm to skateboard a little bit. So I got the courage out of me. One of my cousins is a black belt. He didn't know how to rollover so he kept on trying and trying. He finally got the hand of it and so he can rollover, He got the courage that was inside him. " The thrill is just not in winning, but in the courage to join the race " So what I'm saying is to get that courage out of you. All you have to do is try. If you have any fear that you have in you just do it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ His apraxia had created some developmental lags in language -and in a few short months he not only caught up -but has surpassed where he was meant to be. If anyone is interested, I can share stories written by Tanner from now (he's now been on nutriiveda going on 6 months) where his grammar, complexity and yes eloquence in writing is awe inspiring. He has conversations with me now about Greek Gods and whatever books he's reading -right now again The Outsiders. And yet as much as he has surged -can I say day to day each of the many areas of advancement were obvious? Some but no to many -it was kind of like walking away from a seed you planted and coming back and seeing a bud and saying " how did that happen?! " I believe all should keep a journal once they start nutriiveda and please too print out the survey from here http://pursuitofresearch.org/survey.html that can be found on this page http://pursuitofresearch.org/survey.html<!%0d%0a%20http:/pursuitofresearch.org/s\ urvey.html> To have the type of changes Tanner has had in months -considering I didn't even believe he had that far to improve- is just incredible. And in fact he didn't have that far to go to " normal " but again he's continued BEYOND normal- to as his head of school just said today he's " advanced " . Nutriiveda has not only given me hope -but warm fuzzies and oddly a tinge of sadness that Tanner is so profoundly matured and surged in such a short time on nutriiveda. I no longer worry about him at all -he's doing what he's doing independent. The changes are so quick and while I'm beyond thrilled- part of me is now going through empty nest syndrome- is that bizarre??!! =====
