Guest guest
Hi all, I had taken my boys off NV, due to weight gain. I give 1 full scoop of Vanilla NV with with their milk, or as a smoothie. They often received it as a snack at around 10:30am. Did anyone see any major weight gain? My boys will be 4 in July and weigh between 46-50lbs. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi , Yes my older son then 15 year old Dakota gained 17 pounds on NV (my younger son then 13 year old Tanner lost 15) but Dakota was always a poor eater and at 15 was very lean and lanky -he has filled out so nicely now -both boys look amazing and both shot up within months on NV in height to. I have not heard of any children or adults losing or gaining weight that is not needed. What percentile are your children in charts like this http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/data/nhanes/growthcharts/set1clinical/cj41l021.pdf My son Tanner was always upper percentile for both height and weight and now he's over 6 foot at 14 and he looks amazing. The only bad thing about it is I have to buy him new pants as he grew so much he make men's regular large sweats look like high waters! Now he needs extra long! (he's coming back from his class trip today!!) In the update below you said they felt lighter (I'm taking it due to hypotonia issues???) Also 3 weeks into using NV you wrote one of your triplets went from moderate/severe apraxia to mild - and I had put your testimonial for them up on our speech page I am a mother of 39mth old triplets. It's been about 3 weeks that my boys have been on NV. It was amazing in the beginning, they had no problem taking it, and then they refused it. I found that taking them off for a day or two gave them a break...I snuck it in their vanilla pudding, and I think once they got used to the taste, they expect it in the morning before breakfast. A few months ago, one of the 3 was diagnosed with moderate to severe Apraxia. With combination speech therapy, and fish oils, there was a surge....then I tried NV....I did all the research, read all the posts, spoke to a Natural path doctors and had my boys pediatrician review it....they were all impressed. Now 3 weeks into NV (we're almost at a heaping scoop) My son has gone from moderate/severe apraxia, to mild apraxia. He is much more coherent, and is making 4-5 word sentences....all three of my boys are. They too are humming and singning, the tantrums are rarely happening, and they play so much better together. There coordiantion in tracing, and there new found love in the alphabet and numbers (both in english and in Spanish) has blown everyone away. I wanted to let the parents who are still on the fence read this. I was skeptical, very skeptical, bombarded with so many questions. Once the doctors gave me the go ahead, I had no reason not to try it. Also, my boys are heavy boys, they weighed over 40lbs, and although they didn't look it, felt very heavy. Since NV, they feel lighter, and have more energy ( in a positive way. I am very thankful for this product, and for this site. http://pursuitofresearch.com/2010/11/22/is-nutriiveda-creating-a-paradigm-shift-\ in-treatment-of-speech-impairments/ -- You've been using NV for about 6 months now? Some report in about that time on NV to a year their child has " normalized " for lack of a better word. Testing at or above age appropriate skills in all areas. While these children regressed if taken off NV early on -once on for months as I have on this page can be taken off with no regression (except for those with seizures -we don't know there yet how long!!!) Please read this page http://pursuitofresearch.org/2011/01/19/one-year-later-a-possible-cure-through-e\ ssential-nutrition-for-autism-apraxia-etc/ So have you noted any regression off?? Research may validate not just neural benefit but neural repair -we know there are studies linking the essential amino acids to this for just one theory. http://pursuitofresearch.org/2010/10/15/two-new-studies-choice-is-diet-or-drugs-\ to-help-tbitraumatic-brain-injury-research-amino-acids/ Again I highly suspect that research will validate that Nutriiveda and whatever food ingredients it's made up of has created a paradigm shift. Do you have an update as to how the boys are doing as far as speech and other skills? =====
