That's great, Francesca. Osteopenia is a real concern. Have you had any

bone-density tests? If so, what were the results? Also, I'm wondering how you

have managed to strengthen your bones. Personally, I lift weights and eat

fat-free ricotta (I make it into an awesome chocolate mousse.) I would like

to hear more. But...

....I'm glad that you are not severely injured.

While out trotting around getting my exercise on this glorious day in

Washington, DC, I tripped and took the mother of all flops. I fell headlong

with hands stretched out in an automatic response to break my fall. It was

on a hard asphalt street. This was precisely the type of fall I took as a 9

year old (resulting in a fractured wrist) and similar to a fall I had about

8 or so years ago (pre CR) in my kitchen, which cracked my left knee into

pieces (resulting in knee surgery and weeks of rehab).

In spite of my osteopenia, I'm happy to report that although I was startled

and stunned for a minute or so, aside from scrapes and bruises on both knees

and my right hand, all bones are intact. I hope this bodes well for all our

collective osteopenias.

Do you have a recipe for the mousse? I'd like to try it.
