Guest guest
: there is a " mini-epidemic " of osteopenia (and some with full blown osteoporosis) on the list(s). These readings are confirmed by our dexa tests. We don't know if it's a " true " osteo thing or if our bones are as strong as normal and just sort of " lighter " , which is why I reported the results of my severe fall. My fall is the latest in a series of reported falls by members of the list(s) in which no bones were broken by ostensibly " osteopenic " individuals. So it's good news. Also, it's been reported that Dexas are notoriously unreliable, leading to another question mark about whether so many of us are osteopenic or not. In my case, I can't really lay the blame on CR as I have many other risk factors (menopausal, white, very small boned). If any of the newbies are interested in more info, there are many posts on osteoporosis that can be archived.
