Guest guest
Chris: hope you are now " de-lurked " . As a Cronie of a few years worth, you can probably add a lot to our discussions. Sorry you have trouble accessing the files. If you're interested I can e-mail the contents of any file to you, but I have the feeling that as a CRONIE for a few years, most of the files would be " baby stuff " to you. Also we don't address the soy problem in the files. But you can access both list archives for soy discussions. Some people have given it up completely. Some have not. Since Walford was still eating moderate amts of soy the last we heard, as are others (Dr Weil for example for those of you who have heard of him) and since there was only one study that has not been backed up, so am I still eating moderate amts of soy. BTW, CR is supposed to be protective of dementia, so I'm taking that into account also. I eat soy a couple of times a week. Hope that helps. Guest guest
I still eat some soy. There's been quite a bit of evidence that soy may have beneficial effects, and only a little that it may increase incidence of non-alzheimer's dementia. I figure it's a good thing in moderation. I also take into account that societies that eat a lot of soy, like Japan (ie Okinawans), don't seem to suffer for it. I eat soy about twice a week. I favor soy in an unprocessed form (edamame). - Robin _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
