Guest guest
Sure you can count "Total" (anything but manna and mother's milk) but now you have to explain why you think that is the ONE food that will keep you alive the in the desert longer than any one food. (For the sake of the game, let's also presume that a constant source of water is available.) Suz

Guest guest
, I'm using Perfect Food because getting hubby to eat many veggies is a major undertaking! . . . I like it. It looks yucky, but tastes OK. Hugs, Rogene

Guest guest
Whoopee! . . . Ben and Jerry's sounds like the perfect food for a shower! . . . I'll throw in some crumb topped pie to go with it! I wish that was all it would take to fix your roof though Molly. I'm so sorry! Is the tree still on your roof? Guest guest
I agree Rogene -- and maybe cyber B & J has no calories? We got the tree off the roof today - then it started raining and water dripping in our library. Groooan... The earliest roofers can come out for even an estimate is 4 weeks!! It's incredible. I just want to move back to Colorado. sigh. But we'll get through it, a step at a time. At least we now have electricity. > > > > > > > > I just placed my order for a new bottle of > > Primal Defense and I also > > > > picked up the Perfect Food. Has anyone else > > tried that yet? Guest guest
Molly . . . Have you seen FEMA yet? . . . I think they supply blue plastic tarps to cover your roof until you can get someone to fix it. If not . . . sometimes punching a small hole in the ceiling can let the water through in a controlled manner - rather than letting it accumulate and bring the ceiling down. It's so awful! I can't imagine living through such a mess! . . . I guess every part of the country has some kind of natural threat! . . . Mostly it's just what we adapt to. Has anyone heard from Shari again? Guest guest
Hmmmm, I don't know if there is such a thing as THE perfect food. If anyone figures out what it is, please let me know! : ) Okay, well, here is " Perfect Food " from Garden of Life. http://www.gardenoflifeusa.com/detail_perfect.shtml Ugh, what a name! Guest guest
Molly . . . Primal Defense is fantastic! . . . Perfect Food is powdered green veggies . . . I find the taste acceptable. They do warn you that the color and taste may vary from batch to batch. I have a hard time getting hubby to eat green veggies - so I'm trying this. The color bothers me more than anything else . . . kind of a grainy green drink. Perfect food is from Garden of Life too .. BTW, while you were without electricity, they have set the price Garden of Life products. No more than 30% off . . . even on eBay! Lynda says that's not legal. What do you think? Guest guest
I don't know if it is legal or not. I do think it is crummy. Perhaps there are other brands that can do the same thing. I have a bit of a problem with this company charging such high prices. > > Molly . . . > > Primal Defense is fantastic! . . . > > Perfect Food is powdered green veggies . . . Guest guest
Molly, it probably is. I have given it up completely right now because I am struggling with a bit of candida (am on an antibiotic). Since I am taking Ketoconazole, an antifungal, I don't have any desire to eat it at all. I'd bet our love of ice cream is probably partly fungal related. You have a partner in our journey! Guest guest
Molly, I'm with you on the high price issue! . . . I've heard some rumors about other products that are supposed to do the job of Primal Defense . . . don't have any specifics though. I've found Garden of Life products to be very good! . .. . But when you start talking about spending hundreds of dollars every month, it gets out of reason! Especially when you're talking about maintenance, rather than occasional use products! Maybe they could come up with a Garden of Life club or something that would allow good customers a break! This group has probably generated a lot of customers for them. . . I wonder if they have anyone reading this group? . . . If so - at least they know how we feel! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
I am going to start looking around for competing products. Did you know Garden of Life was cited by the FDA for false advertising? I like the Primal Defense, but it is ridiculously expensive. It seems to me that this guy did make a fortune from his recovery...but I wonder if it has become a bit of a scam. > > Molly, > > I'm with you on the high price issue! . . . > > I've heard some rumors about other products that are > supposed to do the job of Primal Defense . . . don't > have any specifics though. > > I've found Garden of Life products to be very good! . > . . Guest guest
Sometimes I think a company expands beyond it's base (IMHO, Fungal Defense and Primal Defense) in an effort to capitalize on it's good name. If I remember right, when Rubin set up his company, profits were to go into research ???? (Patient Heal Thyself) I don't know that this is the case with Garden of Life .. . . but, their fixing their prices makes me wonder if money hasn't become important than health! So many companies have falled down before the Money God! Guest guest
Rogene, I suspect that is exactly what happened. I believe those (fungal & primal defense) are very good...but some of the things on there just looked like fluff .. Just more for marketing purposes. I am going to be looking for some lower priced products to replace fungal & primal defense. I won't pay the prices these cost for maintenance. That's crazy. > > > > > > Molly, > > > > > > I'm with you on the high price issue! . . . > > > > > > I've heard some rumors about other products that > > are > > > supposed to do the job of Primal Defense . . . > > don't > > > have any specifics though. > > > > > > I've found Garden of Life products to be very > > good! . > > > . .
