Guest guest
Listmates, I am mostly a lurker who is learning a lot from your postings. I went back and read some from a few months ago and wondered whether any of you followed through and ordered the wolfberries (gou qi zi) from Australia. Did anyone order from www.wolfberry.com? I would like to try some but would like some feedback. Thanks, __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hello , I have been ordering mine from wolfberries.com. They are $16/pound plus $6 shipping for orders under $50. I order in 2 pound increments. The dried berries are contained in zip-lock plastic bags. The berries remind me of dried raspberries with a mild cherry flavor. They are very tasty and appear to be of good quality. If you try to consume them as a dry fruit, you'll find that they stick to your teeth. I and my wife each add a heaping tablespoon to our precooked oatmeal each morning. They remoisten while cooking. A one pound bag of berries will last for about a month between my wife and I. The company accepts checks and are not yet geared for credit card orders via the net. I am very satisfied and recommend the company and wolfberries to the list. Guest guest
I believe there had been some discussion earlier that the berries from wolfberries.com were not the same as the asian goji berry. You might try http://www.ad1440.net/~jandk/gojiberry/index.html and the link from http://www.ad1440.net/~jandk/gojiberry/retail.htm to order some. I have had these and they are quite good, although somewhat more expensive than those from wolfberries.com. Iris
Guest guest
I take the blame for earlier discussion concerning the origin of wolfberries.com product because their web site had conflicting information. After contacting the company, they assured me that the wolfberries were indeed asian and they were imported through Canada. When asked about the info on the web site, they replied that they had recently bought the company and hadn't the opportunity to improve the site yet. I asked if they noticed a sudden increase in sales volumn recently and they said yes, especially from California. After their assurance of asian sources, I placed my order and, as previously posted, I am very satisfied.
