© The Japanese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart

attacks than the British or Americans.

[traditionally, Japanese did not produce grapes, hence did not produce red

wine. But they did produce rice, fermenting it as sake, and distilling it as

a 150 proof killer vodka. It should be added that sake runs 18% alcohol,

rather than the normal max of 12% or so for red wines. In Japan, vending

machines sell sake right next to coke colas! anytime day or night.

Inspired by Buddhist monastic interpretation of its bodhibuilding training

rules, Japanese often are said to " drink their rice " rather than eating

solid foods after midday. From medieval Chinese times forward, sake has been

called 'hannyatou' among literati - 'prajna water' or 'wisdom water' for its

liberative powers for creative imagination.

I would tend to think that the Japanese and French share in common a disdain

for that cultural birth defect known as Puritanism, both being deeply

entrenched 'pleasure cultures' with little interest in the Puritan cult of

'guilt and meaning', which feeds stress and collective meaningful misery and

angst. Haute cuisine, good wines, and good sex with nubile nymphs are highly

valued in both those evolutionary advanced cultures.]

[Go back a few years and ask some Allied prisoners of war and Chinese civilians

how humanistically advanced and elevating the Japanese culture really was. Mel

** I find your insults to Puritanism and American culture highly insulting and

infantile, and really has no place on the Supertraining list. Puritans and

Puritanism are of major importance to England's and America's past and

present. The Pilgrims were Puritans. Here's a great 5 minute article on it.

Your methodology for opining that Japanese and French culture are more

advanced than American culture is questionable at best. I certainly have a

great respect for both cultures, and have had the blessing of experiencing

them quite fully. Perhaps you find food, wine and sex with young girls to

be the criteria of cultural advancement, the over-indulgence of which have

plagued mankind (in Japan, France and America) for ages.

orbitz.com has great deals on one way flights to Paris and Tokyo. Be

thankful you have the opportunity to leave.

If you want to discuss this with me further, it's probably best to do it off

the List. Email me.
