Guest guest
Kim, we got the mother of all yeast with OLE and VS. GSE does not work for us, don't know why, works for everyone else. But will try Nell's suggestion of putting it in the bath water as I think that is ingenious. We gave probiotics at 10x the recommended dosage and Candex and ended up giving a one day dose of Diflucan to knock back the yeast which we don't like to do as it contains aluminum. At about round 40, the yeast left, but this ole/vs combo brought it out with a vengence and she was very uncomfortable. Just wanted to warn you. For my son, giving any minerals at all, with just a few exceptions, caused problems. Try reducing the minerals to a normal dose. > THe worse part is...he is more autistic now than ever before. > Seriously, he is an autistic wreck. I once watched a cold virus go right into my son's brain. In the morning, he looked like a typical kid with a cold, playing with the Tank Engine. Over the next few hours, the cold " went away " and left behind a kid who no longer talked or played, he just lined up the trains and ran his face along the line. Viruses are nasty! Try adding olive leaf extract and/or Virastop enzyme. Also lots of vitamin C. > Behaviors include...very repetitive (he does the same action over and > over), For my son, viral. >>increased scripting, For my son, folic acid deficiency and viral. >> very emotional - cries if he just drops > something, very clingy, almost OCDish.... Guest guest
Wow! LOL, which do you think was the most important part of the equation? I had to increase the GSE beyond what I was comfortable giving. So, instead of reducing the anti-virals, which only sometimes helps this problem, I decided to re-read my yeast page. At the bottom, I was reminded of what worked for another parent whose child got really yeasty with Lauricidin and she actually had him tested. The yeast he had was susceptible to uva ursi and garlic. So yesterday, instead of giving a LOT of GSE with only about 75% improvement, I went to the most local supplement supplier I know [my garage cabinet], and I gave my son a small-medium amount of GSE, uva ursi, and garlic. Then I jumped up and down three times, turned around twice, waved my hand over my son's head, and chanted " yeast, be gone! " 30 minutes later, different child. No yeast. If I told you it was the chanting, would you believe me???! I experimented yesterday. It appears the uva ursi is very effective, and the garlic is not as effective as the uva ursi but still more effective than the GSE. I will do more experimentation thru the weekend. I really don't want to give uva ursi for too long, altho I have in the past, so hopefully I can find a good mix. Dana
