Guest guest
Welcome to the Welcher family, Yes, I know you ARE excited about starting your new program, and don't worry too much about succumbing to the temptations involved in feeding the kids ad lib while you maintain CRON. You are VERY fortunate to be doing this as a couple, and working together as a team, you'll find that your children grow up eating much healthier than most. Your lifestyle will become an educational opportunity for them as well. Even though they won't be doing "CR" with you, they WILL be getting a lot of the "ON" part. This alone will protect them against the current epidemic of childhood obesity, and will even make them smarter, stronger and happier. Shoot...they'll even have better teeth! I've been CRONing for a few years (including down time for lost discipline), and my boys are almost 18 now and leaving the nest. (Twins.) This isn't nearly as challenging as having little ones, but I did learn a few things I can share with you. If you don't belong to a discount store such as Sam's club or Costco, do so. There you will find huge assortments of individually wrapped snacks and treats in cartons. My boys did quite well with cereal bars, nuts, cheese sticks (from dairy case), etc. Nowadays they make half-size ziplock bags. These can be filled with baby carrots, for example, and stacked up in the fridge for easy access. The older they get, the more important "easy access" will become. You BAKED A BLUEBERRY PIE for your son??? Oh my goodness!!! YOU are a SAINT among women. What a GOOD MOMMY!!! (Would you like to adopt a couple of 18 year old boys?) Welcome to the group! Hugs Suz PS Very pleased that you got your preliminary tests done. You're off to a perfect start.
