Guest guest
Quick Summary: Kefir making supplies are available for free from Doug Younkin. Time to start thinking about our next CR Conference (Oct 2003?). Doug gave a presentation, demo, and distributed free kefir-making kits at our First CR Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada (Oct 2001). It was fantastic, and one of the most interesting presentations. There were a number of events surrounding food at the CR Conference. Among the CR recipe and food activities were the following: Mark Emdee Gave a presentation on preparing smoothies, shakes, and recipes using the Vita-Mix blender. Warren gave a presentation on how to use the Sprout House to harvest fresh home-grown sprouts using water only. There were some $200.00 worth of sprouting gifts given away as door prizes. In all of these presentations, there was literature, products to taste -- sometimes plentiful -- and offers of support for all follow-up assistance needed. The time is coming soon, where we need to start planning for our next CR Conference. Registration cost will be about $150.00 to $200. We obtained very reasonable accommodations in Las Vegas, which is heavily subsidized by the gaming industry. Our rooms cost only $50.00 to $60.00 a night, and some of us shared rooms to lower cost further. Stern and Krikorian did all the planning and arrangements for our first conference. Great job. The conference took place Friday, Saturday, and Sunday during the last week of October. Walford started it all off as an honored guest speaker. And we got to meet Dr. Spindler, who was the UC Riverside Scientist and Investigator who published the headline research in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences about the effects of CR reversing genetic expression to a more youthful level (First DNA micro-chip results proving " reverse aging via CR " ). -- Warren

Doug : is this true? If so I'll note that in the new recipe file?
