Guest guest
Hello all, I cannot believe it, but just got results back from my Dexa and am osteopenic. or Osteopanic in reality. This test was done in USA at the Cleveland Clinic, whereas the other recent test, wherein I got flying colors1 1/2 years ago was done in Holland- so all I can say is either one of the tests were wrong or my bones suddenly pulverized for no discernable reason. Diet typically Walfrordian but moderate-no junk food at all (sodas sweets pastas etc) and I exercise regularly for 20 years with weight lifting 3-4 times a week. Supplement for 30 years. Am well informed etc ad inf- ad nauseum! What can I say? Test test test. Had I not insisted on this " extra " test I wouldn't have found out and would've continued blithly to think I was still in the upper 2% for bone density. Needless to say, I will lift weights every day and pound the pavement as well. Fosamax was recommended and I guess I'll take it until I return to Holland where I'll ask about Forteo. I fully intend to turn this around and gain bone mass within the next years if at all possible. just thought this may inspire those who haven't tested to do so, and those who have to repeat the tests periodically. best wishes MM _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
Hi MM, Sorry for the bad news. I ponder though, if you've been eating good, exercising for 20 years and supplementing for 30 years, sounds like you have a calcium absorption problem. Either that or you are like 90 years old and just now getting osteopenic in which case I wouldn't be complaining too much. :-) Bob --- In @y..., " Mambo Mambo " <mambomambo@h...> wrote: > Hello all, > I cannot believe it, but just got results back from my Dexa and am > osteopenic. or Osteopanic in reality.
