Of Spammers and How Life Imitates Star Trek

Hello All Except One;

The spammer reminds me of at least 2 or 3 old Star Trek episodes we've all seen,

where some Alien Entity sneaks aboard the Enterprise and stirs up fear and anger

among the crew because the Entity, it turns out, literally lives on fear, anger,

or some other toxic emotion. These episodes typically end by Spock and Kirk

figuring out that there's an Alien Entity in their midst who is reponsible for

making people scared and/or angry. Then McCoy finds a sedative to make everyone

silly instead of scared or angry, Spock gives the Vulcan neck pinch to anyone

left over, and the Entity leaves the Enterprise for lack of emotional nutrition.

The spammer Entity is in our midst, and it feeds on frustration and outrage.

Get a sedative (Walford allows up to one drink a day), and ignore the Entity.

If we cease to talk about and respond to this nonsense, eventually it will go

away, being starved of the toxic emotional reponses for which it lives.

Recommendation: no further posts about or in response to the spammer Entity. In

time it will fade away for lack of response and leave the crew alone.
