Guest guest
Hi According to the hair test book, the selenite form of selenium is actually quite toxic, and a pro-oxidant. Also used on lab rats to induce cataracts. The selenomethionine version is supposed to be much safer. take care René > > Has anyone ever had a behavioral regression with selenium? Guest guest
Oh, I just re-read your message and saw that the regression IS with selenomethionine, not sodium selenite. How odd! I wonder if someone else can she dosme light on this one. René > > > > Has anyone ever had a behavioral regression with selenium? Guest guest
I don't know. I do know that my daugher took on 50 mcg tablet of selenim and had diahrrea all day? > > Has anyone ever had a behavioral regression with selenium? Guest guest
Dear Rene and , I use Jarrow's Activated Selenium in the form of methylselenocysteine. It's *upposed*to be superior to selenomethionine in terms of its antioxidative properties. Rene, do you know anything about this? Is this claim true? , if so, or in any case, your son may benefit from a switch to this form. fwiw Beti Retrieved from " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methylselenocysteine " > > > > Has anyone ever had a behavioral regression with selenium? Guest guest
Yes! I got a couple of great days and then a disaster! What behaviors did you get? My son was completely out of control at school, running away from teachers, not listening. He also started to loose his hairs, that's a sign of selenium toxicity for him.... > > Has anyone ever had a behavioral regression with selenium? Guest guest
Some of the selenium is yeast based and therefore problematic for some. Also too much selenium without enough zinc can cause problems. S S I don't know. I do know that my daugher took on 50 mcg tablet of
selenim and had diahrrea all day?

_______________________________________________ Join Excite! - http://www.excite.com The most personalized portal on the Web! Guest guest
Hi Beti I'm sorry, I don't know anything about this form of selenium (though I'm flattered that you thought I might :-)). take care René > > Dear Rene and , > I use Jarrow's Activated Selenium in the form of > methylselenocysteine.
