If one meets any of the counting rules and has NO mercury amalgam dental

fillings, consider chelation. Also try to identify and reduce/remove sources of

exposure. ALA is available without a prescription and chelates mercury from

body and brain. Andy Cutler recommends 1/8-1/2 mg per lb every 3 hours during

the day and every 4 at night with 3 days and nights " on " and at least as many

off. Sometimes special diet and/or enzymes helps. Yeast protocol may be

helpful/necessary. There's a list of the supplements Andy recommends. Start

anything new one at a time to see how it affects the individual.

Hello,

Thanks for any insight on our results. I just ordered the Hair Test

Interpretation book so I have not received it yet. I did find the Counting

Rules link and I am trying to figure this out.

It looks like he does not meet the criteria for Step One. He does meet the

criteria for Step Two. He just missed criteria for Step Three. What next?

Thanks for any help. 2NJ
He meets two counting rules: " 4 or more in red " and " 11 or less in

middle band " (if Na is considered green). High probability of

mineral transport problems due to mercury.

The adrenal pattern is classic, as I mentioned in reply to

your previous post of partial results. Consider some adrenal

cortex extract and nutritional support for the adrenals.

This may help with hypersensitivity issues and with detox.

Since mineral transport is deranged, the mercury and the

adrenal pattern are the only really important results. You

also need general supplementation for chelation (start with the

supplement file in the Files section).

Chelate with oral DMSA, DMPS, or ALA in a dose of 1/8-1/4 mg

per pound of weight. If you start with DMSA or DMPS, add ALA

later to get mercury out of the brain. DMSA every 4 hours or

more often, including nighttime. DMPS every 8 hours or more

often, including nighttime. ALA every 3 hours or more often,

including nighttime. See the Files section for more info.

Nighttime doses are important.
