Jo: It has nothing to do with price. Canned salmon has a couple of

excellent qualities:

1. Most canned salmon is of the superior Wild Alaskan variety (contains the

most Omega 3's) whereas much of the fresh salmon is not.

2. It contains chewable soft bones full of valuable minerals.

I would limit the amount of smoked salmon you ingest, since smoking meat or

fish exposes you to carcinogens. I've never heard of xenoestrogens; could

you elaborate?
