Guest guest
Dave: Welcome! You're so new that apparently you haven't had a chance to read the files. One of the Support List files is titled: Nutrient Tracking Programs. It lists a nice grouping of programs tried and recommended by our members. I'm sure also that members who favor DWIDP will come to your rescue. Bob Cavanaugh - this is right up your alley. on 8/27/2002 2:04 PM, davenoel2002 at davenoel@... wrote: > So in spite of the fact > that I love the way this program is intended to function, can anyone > recommend an alternative program that offers many of the same > features, such as the ability to add recipes and foods. Thanks in advance for the advice. Have a great day. Dave, I am using the same software that you are I am not having the problems that you are describing. I found the software to be fairly effecient and I am to the point in which I can create a full days meal plan, print it and even send a copy to my food sponsor in about 6 minutes. My recipes are in the data base and I use it daily to monitor the vening dinner that varies each day. What version are you using? Guest guest
Wow ~ maybe I bought a lemon...can that happen with software?! ...Mike, I just got the program 20 days ago. It is version 2.075 and so far, nothing but trouble...the recipe database is corrupted or something; every time I restore the recipes, duplicates show up, not that it matters because when the program is closed and reopened, everything is gone again. Also when inputting my daily foodlist into the "Daily" record, sometimes components of the foodlists are missing!...resaving and repeating doesn't help. I guess the most frustrating thing has been the lack of responsiveness from the company which thus far has not responded to any form of communication. It is a shame, because I really like the program, but it is not worth all this trouble, especially after entering a bunch of recipes (one of the best features I believe) into the program. I may try to reload the entire program and start from scratch, but if that doesn't work, I will just try another program. Someone in the group sent me a recommendation for Diet Power, which looks like a decent program. If you have any ideas other than reloading, please let me know and thanks for taking time to respond...I can use all the guidance you have to offer. Have a great night....Thanks! Guest guest
Hello Dave, Sorry to read that you are having problems. I assure you that it is only from lack of familiarity with the software. E-mail me off list and we can work together to get you straightened out. The phone number for help at Walford.com is: (888) 463-9315. and if you want to do e-mail with them use: lisa@...
