We’d like to invite you into our home. We’re speaking of an ABCNews Special,

Looking Better and Living Longer—What Everyone Wants to Know, hosted by

Snyderman, M.D., airing Friday (August 30) at 9:00 P.M. Eastern

Time.

Creating the program was quite an ordeal. The ABC team came to film us work

out at the gym, then followed us home for seven hours of interviewing and

filming everything from preparing a meal to getting supplements out of the

cupboard and chewing our food.

Questions included --

How long have you been on CR?

Why are you on CR?

Do you see any difference from pre-CR days?

What do you actually eat?

What about someone who just wants to get started?

Do you think CR is for everyone?

Do you take supplements? Which ones? Why?

What about your sexuality?

How long would you like to live?

At the gym encouraged them to film some of his weight-bearing exercises

that may have contributed to his significant increase in hip-bone density

(without Fosamax or Actonel).

Of course, we don't know what will be edited out, but the producer says

she's happy with how the editors are handling it.

So, tune in Friday night. The whole thing should be interesting and the CR

segment will include Dr. Weindruch talking about his research and

your friends, and Averill, talking about their CR lifestyle.

If your local affiliate has preempted this health special with something

more important, like a football game, that local affiliate's office can tell

you if and when they will be broadcasting " our " show. ABC in NYC assures me

that if the phone book doesn't help, the local information operator will be

able to give either ABC, ABCNews or News stations.
