Guest guest
You asked how slow I took my weight loss. The answer is a bit complicated. The bulk of my weight (about 45 pounds of fat) was lost during my 1st year; alas it was not a CR year. It was a year of starting from zero, and gradually working out more and more to the point of gaining 20# of muscle and finishing an Olympic length Triathlon in 2 hours and 40 minutes. The weight loss was too fast, the workouts were too excessive… but I had none of these problems. The problems started a year later (that would be the start of the 3rd year) when I started cutting and counting calories, cutting my workouts to relatively none (100 minutes per week), and loosing weight very slowly. My current weight loss is about 1 pound per month. “Not reporting” is not “not existing”, though you may be right. Everyone, please chime in with your CR “problems”, if you have any. But we haven't heard about them on this list. Or at least nowhere to the extent of the " extremists " on the Society list. I think you're lumping the lists together. To be honest, I have assumed that moderate practitioners and those who take it slow will be OK. As you said in your first post, there's a point at which CRON may be optimum and a point where it might be detrimental. However if moderate CRONIES do have these problems, then it would stand to reason that anyone out there on ANY kind of diet would/should also have these kinds of problems (since all that CRON is after all - is a low calorie, highly nutritious DIET). Did you take it slow in your weight loss? Many people are in a hurry and lose too fast. The fact that many (most?) moderates have NOT reported these problems has to mean SOMETHING. on 8/29/2002 4:31 PM, Micky Snir at mickys@... wrote: > Francesca, I have to disagree. Guest guest
OK you two ~ don't make us stop this car! In reviewing your posts, I think that you two are actually agreeing with each other...moderation is the path to CRON enlightenment!
