Guest guest
Dennis: thanks for phoning in. Have you started CRON et? Since the only thing we know about you is your age, let me warn you: starting im middle age or later in life may not reap you the longevity benefits you're seeking. Having said that, and BTW, I'm no spring chicken myself, you will become healthier , have less illness, improve your BP, blood lipids etc. So even if you don't live that much longer, you'll have a higher quality of life. In fact, that's all I expect and hope to gain for myself. Care to give us any more info? Are you normal weight? How tall are you? How far along (if along at all) in starting CRON? on 9/3/2002 9:06 AM, Dennis Foley at dennis@... wrote: > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Francesca Skelton [mailto:fskelton@...] > Sent: Tuesday, September 03, 2002 6:49 AM > support group > Subject: [ ] New CRONIES: phone home > > > > Newbies, please post and introduce yourselves. Care to give us any more info? Are you normal weight? [Dennis] Yep. How tall are you? [Dennis] 6 feet. How far along (if along at all) in starting CRON? [Dennis] Just easing into it. on 9/3/2002 9:06 AM, Dennis Foley at dennis@... wrote: > > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: Francesca Skelton [mailto:fskelton@...] > Sent: Tuesday, September 03, 2002 6:49 AM > support group > Subject: [ ] New CRONIES: phone home > > > > Newbies, please post and introduce yourselves. Guest guest
To Dennis and others contemplating CRON after a lifetime of ad lib eating. There will always be a benefit from optimal or adequate nutrition combined with a moderate reduction in calories. This will help you get the most years of life "you" can get, and get the most out of them. At 53 years old I have no desire to be the skinniest CRONie, nor do I have illusions of living to 120. However I'm not in a hurry to join the many from my generation already in the ground from simply eating too much and the wrong stuff. First get the nutrition right, then deal with the calories. Moderation, moderation, moderation. Welcome aboard. Guest guest
Hi all! My name is Laurie, I'm 40 years old. I have a background in nutrition, exercise science/health and fitness. Obesity is prevelant in our (U.S.) society and the underlying cause for so many illnesses and problems. I have always been a proponent of living as healthfully as possible. Guest guest
I've used both the Dietpower software and DWIDP extensively. I recommend Dietpower's. It does everything Walford's software does plus has some nice additional features. It's also a few bucks cheaper. I'm curious about the various computer diet programs to help one achieve optimal nutrition. I looked at Dietpower and Dr. Walford's program. Does any one have a preference for one over the other? I've been using it the past few days and it's great. Kathy W
