Anne, I agree with you about enzymes being highly important and they are destroyed by cooking. I must have missed the messages about this but if you would care to share more about raw foods and your diet either here or email then I would love to hear more about it. Thanks. Guest guest
I agree with you about enzymes being highly important and they are destroyed by cooking. Anne, I agree with you also. It's important that a person eat a certain percentage of raw veggies, which improve digestion. Dr. Cabot talks about this in her books. One can easily do it by eating a salad with a meal, drinking fresh juices and munching on raw veggies. I didn't see the post from Ira that you were talking about. What, was he talking about eating raw potatoes? Well, it's understandable coming from Ira. That's almost as ridiculous as if he'd asked if you're supposed to munch on raw pinto beans. He may be super-intelligent, but maybe a little common sense wouldn't hurt him any. Susie

Guest guest
Well this certainly doesn't apply to lycopene in tomatoes which need to be cooked with a bit of fat (such as in tomato sauce) to get the maximum benefits. on 10/13/2002 6:09 AM, Alan Pater at apater@... wrote: > If man could > re-develop his natural instinct and eat only fresh food, which is not > prepared in any way, he could solve his health problems and restore defenses > against diseases such that these could become beneficial.
