Guest guest
I've heard that sprout seeds can be treated this way (Suz?? didn't you once post this?). But I'd sure rinse anything well with plain water after any bleach treatment. Vingar is harmless and also kills bacteria, molds etc. Why not use vingar ??? Also stop worrying so much. Most germs are killed by our stomach acids. on 9/30/2002 1:11 PM, quailwomn@... at quailwomn@... wrote: > > I know that pesticide residues are fairly easy to remove, but I worry a > lot about bacterial contaminants. Of course you could also buy the expensive vegetable/fruit " washes' they sell on the market; but the home made vinegar version is supposed to accomplish the same thing much cheaper. Thank you so much. I used to use " Fit, " but I can't find it anymore. But I can still use their sprayer and bowls for my veggie washing ritual with the vinegar. : ) My mind feels much more at rest now - really.
