Guest guest
thanks for this . I think I had the two types confused. I did a google search and there are several other sites for flavored oils and flavorings. The LorAnn oils (Warren's) are not sold on-line, and only in certain stores, so if one desires two or three favorite flavors, they're not so easy to get and replenish. Does anyone have any other info on other sites or brands? Especially moderately priced and easy to order/find ones? on 8/1/2002 3:18 PM, Tiktin-Fanti at andreatf1@... wrote: > For those not using the flavored oils, I wanted to > recommend a site called davincigourmet.com which has a > great variety of splenda sweetened syrups. Guest guest
Sorry, I spoke too soon. LorAnn has two websites. One is for wholesale, which I was mistakenly looking at; and one for retail. So they can be ordered on line from the retail site, if one doesn't want the full 73 flavor pack from Warren, and just wants a few favorite flavors. The prices are reasonable. Guest guest
Wow I checked out the web site and lo and behold if there isn't a cake decorating store near me that stocks a wide variety. The flavorings cost more from there but if I were to factor in the cost of shipping it would be the same. I really hesitated to try Warren's bulk order because I wasn't sure if I would use it all. I can trot off to the store and get some exercise while I purchase a few to try out. In a message dated 8/1/2002 1:30:17 PM Pacific Daylight Time, fskelton@... writes: Sorry, I spoke too soon. Guest guest
: I highly recommend the Pina Coloda and the Chocolate Hazelnut (of the ones I've tried so far). I add a splash of the rum flavoring (or real Rum - tsk tsk) to the Pina Coloda. If you try these, let me know if you agree with my assessment. on 8/2/2002 7:02 PM, L106@... at L106@... wrote: > Wow I checked out the web site and lo and behold if there isn't a cake > decorating store near me that stocks a wide variety. Oils are more concentrated and have to be sweetened with the type of your choice. They are the ones that Warren supplied from LorAnn. The syrups are already sweetened with splenda and are from DaVinci, Torano (sp) and a few other companies. It seems as though I did not make the difference clear. __________________________________________________
Guest guest
: you did! But check the files and let me know if I have it right in the files. They're listed under Member's recipes and then in " desserts " and " Where to buy stuff " . I delineated the sweetened and non- sweetened flavorings. If there are any other comments from anyone (I'm not perfect) about any of the files and/or suggestions for new files, please speak out. on 8/3/2002 4:06 PM, Tiktin-Fanti at andreatf1@... wrote: > I started this thread about flavored syrups as an > alternative to flavored oils.
