Subject: Community Where CR is Welcome

Dear All,

Some have asked us how we find the discipline to practice CR. One way is to

place ourselves in communities where healthy living is the norm. Our

favorite such community is Kripalu. Here, at this holistic learning center

one finds a host of classes in yoga, meditation, and specialized workshops

such as the one we'll be taking later this month: " Improve and Save Your

Sight, Naturally: Holistic Eye Care, " Sept. 27-29. Learning such as this

allows us to take advantage of more benefits of CR.

Cause is hard to prove, but while 's friends have been getting glasses

and bifocals during the years he's been so attentive to CR, he still enjoys

excellent eyesight. Fascinating coincidence! Dr. Marc Grossman, who has

written books on holistic eye care, will lead the workshop; and we figure if

we learn one thing that actually has a positive effect on our sight, it's a

good investment.

You can see details of Kripalu and this workshop at http://www.kripalu.org/

.. Run by a CR practitioner, Kripalu offers learning " on vacation " that can

make practicing the CR lifestyle easier, both while there and afterwards.

Should others wish to join us, nine " seats " were remaining in the workshop a

couple days ago. Their reservations office is open from 9-5, so we can't

check tonight. This could be a warm-up for the East Coast CR Conference: we

could meet each other and join together for meals and swap CR stories.

Kripalu's vegetarian food is served buffet style, and choosing foods that

allow us to stay on our CRON path is fairly easy. We also take advantage of

the guest kitchen to keep our kefir, blenderized green drinks, salmon and

other essentials.

The meal plan begins with dinner on arrival day and ends with lunch on the

departure day. You may want to eat dinner on the way if you'll arrive after

6:30 p.m. on Friday.

Let us know if you decide to come. We benefit from Kripalu in many ways and

would love to see you there!
