Guest guest
Hi, After I gave my son (1.)500mg~125 mg Vitc(Include 8mg Calcium & 4 mg Magnesium), 1 cap(250mg) florastor, 1/2(25mg)~1/8(6.25mg)cap P5p, sometimes flax seed oil in the morning. (2.)500mg~125mg vitc ,2 tsp~1/2 tsp Zinc(reverse osmosis water 100+/-ppm), 1/2 tsp~1/8 tsp calcium(reverse osmosis water & +/- 700ppm) in the afternoon. (3.) 1 cap(250 mg) florastor, sometime 1/8(50mg) tsp Mgcitrate in the night I gave 1 tsp Molybdenum, since I found his blood test for it is very high in his body, so I stop it. His conticipation got improved, more social & engagement, bad gas pass dispear. But he like to stare, also after P5P he seems headache. After one month, he had some rash on the body. So I stop supplement, but his conticipation came back again. SO I start to give supplement:(1.)1/2 cap florastoe+sometimes VitC or 1/2 tsp VitC or 1/8 tsp VitC ot 1/4 tsp Vit C & 1/8 cap P5P, sometimes cod live oil in the morning. (2.) 1/4 tsp Zinc & 1/8 tsp Calcium in the afternoon. (3.) 3~4 times Epsom salt bath & Mgcitrate 1 ~2 times And I gave grapefruit seed extract or olive leaf extract & candy enzyme bought from whole food store sometimes. At these time, since each time he took the morning dose, the rash got worse, so I didn't give the afternoon dose, or I reduced the morning dose, stop several day, then gave again. I don't know whether these will cause his unbalance in the body since I give some, stop some, & reduce some dose? Since his rash always have & also he start to bite cloth & plastic things. So I stop his supplement, he become wild for several day, then he still continue to bite things & start to drooling. He always move his tongue & drooling now & ignore others present & made loud noise(This is new behaviour now). After three month(stop supplement for 2 weeks), I saw DAN doctor, he asked me to give him Activated Charcoal for several days, now we stop supplement for about 1 & half months, his drooling still contiue, rash got much less than before, but he still always move tongue & grinding teeth often & hyperactivited. We did the blood test his AST(before45, now53), HGB(8.6bfore, now 15.2), HCT(40.5before, now44.2), RBC(5.05before, now 5.36) is high than before. We did test for Vitamine & mineral( Just before took supplement)is in the normal range. I wonder whether his body is unbalance on mineral & Vitamine since we often took morning dose & didn't give the afternoon dose. What cause child drooling, grinding teeth, rash, very red lip, cool hand & feet & become wild, all these came together?(At these time, since he ate some yogurt & bagle, could these cause problm?) What I should do next? Should I continue gave charcoal(He start to eat rice after we gave charcoal, but still not eat vegetable for 1 year.)or Supplement? How to know whether has clostridia infection? Thank you very much for your helping? Guest guest
Dear Zheng I don't have a complete answer for you, and I'm hoping that someone else can help here. But from what I understand from your message, it does seem like you are changing a lot of supplements at one time, and so you're not sure why you are seeing these troubling behaviours. Is this correct? It would be helpful to try to keep to the same schedule every day for a while, then just change one thing at a time so that you can figure out what supplement is causing the drooling, etc. If you don't already have one, a daily chart for the supplement amounts (figure out how many mg or mcg for each item are given per day), times, and good and bad reactions would probably help you a lot. I would also try to divide the day's supplement amounts into 3- 4 doses and spread these throughout the day (3 meals + bedtime works well for us). One parent recently reported that doing this helped stop spitting/drooling for his son. Make sure not to give the activated charcoal close to supplements or meals, as it will absorb everything. Do you know why your son has needed it for so long? I think it's usually only used for short periods. You say you were giving 1 tsp of molybdenum. Can you tell us how this measures in mcg? 1 tsp seems like a very large amount. There is a very good file on supplements in the files of this group. It may be very helpful for you. I hope this helps you a little bit. take care René > > > Hi, > > I gave 1 tsp Molybdenum, since I found his blood > test for it is very high in his body, so I stop it. > > At these time, since each time he took the > morning dose, the rash got worse, so I didn't give the > afternoon dose, or I reduced the morning dose, stop > several day, then gave again.
