Guest guest
Hello people, My name is , I'm a 21 year old guy from Holland. I'm a new member of this list, so here is some info about me and my experience thus far with (transition to) CRON, for the ones interested. After I saw a documentary named " fat and happy " on the National Geographic Channel about food and health wich informed about CRON, I wanted to know more about CRON. So I ordered Walfords 'The Anti-Aging Plan' and 'Beyond the 120 year diet' and after partially reading them I decided to switch to a CRON-diet. I wanted to start right away so I changed my eatinghabits: I began eating only " healthy foods " and began eating a bit less (also I stopped exercising). Though I didn't make the important major steps: I never began analyzing my diets nutrient- and caloriecontent and I never made a good planning of my daily foodintake. I kept postponing these steps, because I just moved to a student flats and started a new study and so I didn't find much time. Also I wasn't home most of the day, and so I felt forced to eat easy food wich I could buy at the spot. During that time I was eating less while uncertain about wether my diet was optimally nutritious. I once in a while began to ignore a hungerfeeling. My weight dropped from a 68-70 kg to a 55-56 kg in about 1,5 to 2 months, wich is maybe a bit too fast (my length is 177 cm). The weightloss included muscle loss, since I reached the 70 kg after a few months of powertraining in order to gain muscles and improve my sexappeal, wich I cared more about those days than I do now Before I began training, my weight was about 60-65 kg, so I guess my setpoint lies in this range. After a while I figured that I just didn't have enough time and/or spirit at that moment to switch to CRON intelligably and so I began eating " normal " amounts of healthy foods in a way that didn't make me feel hungry at any time and I didn't really make an attempt to reduce calories. Also I began doing fitness again, a bit of weight resistance and mostly aerobic exercise. During this period I once reached 58 kg, but at the moment I weigh approx. 55.5 kg (wich makes a BMI of about17.7, since my length is about 177cm, what a coincidense!!. So my weight remained pretty much the same, even though my abdominal fat increased a bit; so maybe I lost more muscle, wich would be consistent with the fact that I tended to reduce weight resistance excercise and increase aerobic excercise. That's about where I am now. In short: I made a careless attempt to switch to a CRON-diet, wich left me with a loss of weight and improved eating habits. So now it's time to really switch to a CRON regimen. At the moment, during the holidays, I will go analyzing my daily foodintake using DWIDP 2.0, start cooking megameals and freezing them, planning my daily foodintake. This really looks like a cool and valuable list, I'm glad I've joined it. Greetings, .
