He was socially much more adept, could focus much better, had deeper-level thinking. I accidentally got a good view of what Virastop was doing by running out of it midway through -- he got OCD, severe ADD, was flinging his arm out over and over and saying the same phrases over and over. When more Virastop came, those symptoms stopped in less than a day. Also, what signs did you have that made you think > there were viral issues? He had a viral panel done thanks to a DAN, at Immunosciences Lab. I had no idea before that. But now I think of OCD and any of the other behaviors he had while off VS as possible viral symptoms. One of the things I like about VS is that if you don't want to spend the money on testing (it's $$$), you could do a trial without risking the side effects of prescription antivirals. It did cause yeast though. Nell

Adding to my post to say that it was clear -- at least to me, if not to the peds he used to see -- that something was wrong with his immune system. He used to get sick ALL the time, unexplained fevers, hives, constant colds, RAD. So I'd consider that kind of immune system disregulation a reason to try antivirals as well, including OLE.
