I enjoy my sucralose and feel it's helped me stay on CR. So use common sense. Sugar in moderation is OK. Too much and you're not on CR anymore; also sugar increases appetite, unfortunately. Nevertheless as everyone knows I eat a bit in my Total cereal and now and then have a teeny sugary treat. (Everyone pls note the subject heading is now changed of this thread). Even if it does have some negative effect at high dose, one would probably not experience them at the minimal amounts that is normally ingested. That may be so, but why risk it if there are safe alternatives? I have been using stevia powder (white) for years and it works just like the AS, but comes from the stevia plant. All natural, safe. Just a thought... :-) a

Just because something's natural doesn't mean it's good. Belladonna is natural, too, but I'm not eating it. It all depends on the dosage/dilution...:-) No, natural doesn't necessarily equal good. Neither does man-made equal safe. I have yet to come across a substantiated well documented "health concern" pertaining to non-caloric stevia and until I do, I consider it time-tested and safe, a decision based on a lot of info devoured over the years...:-) Again, it all boils down to individual choices... :-) a
