sucralose/splenda

I've gotten two inquiries thus far as to the best alternate place to get

Splenda/sucralose. As most of you know it's available in supermarkets, but

it's not cheap. I've done a quick search and have found one place on the

web which sounds like a good price. It's: diabeticdrugstore.com. They

charge $2.63 for a 55 g box which is comparable to a pound of sugar. Of

course there's a shipping charge, and it's usually best to order several

boxes at once to minimize shipping fees.

If anyone knows of another good and inexpensive source for Splenda or

sucralose, please tell us. Or those of you who are adept at ferreting out

the best prices on the web (or at chain stores where other members can find

the products) please search and post your results.

I am not a fan of zero calorie/zero nutrition snacks but Sucralose is great for baking (Sherm's muffins and brownies) and sweetening fruit juice, kefir, etc. I'd hate to have to switch back to splenda.

I have purchased sucralose from Warren twice and plan to continue. What are the "additional and serious problems" associated with his repackaging. Warren and others have gone to great expense and difficulty to make commercial sucralose available to us consumers.

I have read your past posts, what did I miss?

: I too purchased my sucralose from Warren and have been happy til now

that he's been there for us.

However it seems that things have now changed. He is not filling orders.

He admits to being at least 6 weeks behind. Yet he has cashed checks. Not

good. I say, what's your hurry to reorder?

Right now Warren has much more than he seems able to handle. If that

changes in the coming weeks or months, perhaps the policy of the Support

list will change as well.

=== message truncated ===

I have ordered from Warren numerous times and have

been more than satisfied with the results. I am

currently waiting for my chocolate but am also

confident that I will get it soon. He went ahead and

sent me my sucralose even though the price had gone up

and I had not sent the revised amount. I subsequently

sent him a check for the difference. I hope that he

continues to get the sucralose for us because, as far

as I know, we are the only ones who have access to a

true carbohydrate-free and calorie-free sweetener that

can be used in cooking and baking. I have a diabetic

family background and sucralose is the only one that

does not raise my blood glucose. Splenda does.
