Guest guest
Laurie: first off, welcome to the Support list!! AFAIK, no CRONIE is doing this. But yes, our metabolisms are all different and there is no set number of calories to be on. In fact, the benefits accrue according to what your " ad lib " intake was (i.e. if you were ad lib eating 2200 cal a day and you cut back about 20% to 1800 or so cal, you are 20% CRONED.) These would be calories packed with nutritious foods. In fact, if you just start eating heathier, you will probably be in a CR state. See the file " CR Made Easy " . Under no circumstances, should newcomers drastically start cutting back calories. CRON is to be undertaken gradually and slowly. Otherwise, it could be detrimental to your health rather than health enhancing. It's a trauma to the body (and especially for older wannabe CRONIES) and must be started slowly. Read Walford's: BT120 YD for more info. Some extreme CRONIES seem to have damaged their health by losing weight too fast or in the extreme. on 9/2/2002 9:04 AM, arobicpro@... at arobicpro@... wrote: > Just wondering, does anyone factor in your basal metabolic rate as the gauge > for your daily calories?
