Guest guest
Joanne: How many people do you know that have bled to death via a car accident (or other accident)? And how many that have died due to the chronic problems of disease as they aged? I know that's anecdotal, but it might help open the eyes of those who are questioning your choices. Walford also discusses in many places in his books the overwhelming liklihood of dying from the handful of diseases that get most of us: i.e. heart and cancer being the most prevalent. However the remarks of others are a source of social problems for many of us. It would be interesting to hear how others handle it. Interesting that you're not all that skinny and yet you still get the social pressures. As the public becomes more aware of the problems of overweight/obesity, I would imagine/hope these remarks would abate. on 9/25/2002 1:26 AM, somejoanne2002 at bhsnz@... wrote: > I suppose it's strictly a rational matter of estimating the > likelyhood of dying in an accident versus dying of one of the > diseases such as cancer that CR tends to reduce the incidence of. > Accidents did seem a pretty big number on that list of Alans.
