Is anyone taking these on a daily basis? > Is one better than the other? I consume wheatgrass daily - provided I've had the opportunity to sprout it in the past week. Wheatgrass seems a delicious way to get young green plants into your body. There's some up-front cost in buying a grass juicer, though. Check it out in a nearby juice bar to see if you like it before getting an electrical juicer. > Is wheatgrass or barleygrass the same in powder and pill form > versus the raw juice form? Not according to most people. Wheatgrass juicers all seem to be raw fooders - and will probably tell-you that fresh juice is rich in important enzymes - while pills are dead. I'm sure powders and pills are good for you - but the juice is practically bound to be better. > I would really like to implement one of these into my daily diet, > so I'm trying to get as much info as possible. Wheat is *extremely* cheap and easy to sprout. The juice is one of the most amazing-tasting of the vegetable juices - IMO. I also sprout spelt, rye, sunflower, buckwheat, flax - and a variety of peas, beans and lentils. Spelt is another good one to sprout. Even sweeter than wheatgrass. I can't get it to germinate so well, though - only about a quarter of my seeds come up. I keep meaning to put up a wheatgrass page - though there are enuogh other ones out there. In the meantime here's the page about my juicer - and a few other links: http://timtyler.org/juicer/ http://wheatgrass.pages123.co.uk/links.htm http://www.wheatgrassforlife.com/ http://www.growwheatgrass.com/ http://www..com/grow/bits/bits.html http://www.sproutman.com/ http://www.eatsprouts.com/

My understanding is that - for cancer - some of the best vegetables are Brassica - brussels sprouts, broccoli, kale, cabbage - and the like. Wheatgrass seems good at providing a range of vitamine and minerals, superoxide dismutase - and a range of anti-oxidants - it seems likely to help. I'm not sure I'd describe it as a " rejuvenator " - but it seems to be good, nutritious, delicious food. http://www.alternative-healthzine.com/html/0500_2.html is a brief article about the nutritional components of wheatgrass. I can't claim to have noticed any significant improvements in my health as a result of consuming wheatgrass. However, I didn't have anything much wrong with me to start with. Unfortunately for any attempt at analysis, a rapid increase in consuming wheatgrass coincided in me with increased consumption of a wide range of other fruit and vegetable juices (because I bought a decent juicer). About the only thing I can say with much certainty about wheatgrass's effect on me is that it provides an immediate " lift " . Wheatgrass is probably the juicer's equivalent of coffee. For quite some time after taking it, everything has more zing. I don't usually get on at all with stimulants - but I like wheatgrass's stimulant effect.
