Guest guest
I feel that so much can be learned (both in general and about oneself) through the use of nutritional analysis software that it is of great benefit especially when just beginning CRON. When I first dappled with CRON about 5 years ago I was working very much in the dark. Now I can see where my diet is deficient and I can also see how my weight is affected by my calorie intake and exercise level. Currently I am not on too much of a calorie restriction since my weight would plummet too drastically. My daily Basal Metabolic Rate is about 2300 so I have found that as long as I keep my calorie intake to below 2,000, I can maintain a safe and steady weight loss. The real challenge will be when I have reached my " ideal " weight and will need to maintain that on whatever calorie restriction I settle at. Any time I learn something new, I tend to get immersed in it and obsessed by it at at the beginning, but after a while the knowledge becomes ingrained and I spend less and less time on the nuts and bolts and am able to wing it more often. The KISS! (keep it simple, stupid!) approach can take over when you are more comfortable in your knowledge. I think the soft ware helps you reach that level sooner just because it provides so many insights.
