Guest guest Posted June 26, 2002 Report Share Posted June 26, 2002 Everyone has probably heard last night's news on the importance of Vit E in preventing/delaying Alzheimers. The point I want to make is that Vit E is found in whole grains (as well as nuts, and green leafy veggies). The report said that E in vitamin form is not as effective as getting it in food. Many of our more extreme CRONIES have eliminated grains from their diet. Seems to me this news is another reason to include a very wide variety of foods (including whole grains) in one's diet. You never know what else will be found out in the future about the importance of some vitamin/mineral elsewhere.
