Guest guest
Jammer: You have to make sure it says " brown " rice. Wild rice is also Ok. I do buy the brown " quick cook " rice . Ten minutes to make. You can also use other whole grains - cous cous, for example is delicious; or whole wheat pasta. You can buy canned beans pre-cooked but anything in a can has a lot of salt so rinse them thoroughly to wash off some of the salt. I make some Mexican dishes with no fat, canned refried beans. There's a good main dish in the files called " Mexican Delight " - very easy to make. on 9/15/2002 1:56 PM, ran7972002 at Jammer7@... wrote: > When long grain rice is mentioned for salads, is this really brown > rice or are these two different things?
