Guest guest
my apologies if this link has already been posted: http://www.abcnews.go.com/onair/DailyNews/agingpoll_020830.html 65% of people don't want to live to be 120 (120 - where'd they get that # from? ). Yea, better to be dead! (sarcasm). But then they are probably figuring on a feeble ill old age when the point is remaining younger longer. Plus they think it will have negative societal impacts. But in my view it will *only* have negative societal impacts if it *is* a society of 120 year olds in alzheimers wards or something - NOT if it is a society of 120 years olds that are younger longer. Even if it was a society of extremely unhealthy old people the *societal* impact for a rich society would still probably be minimal - compared to all else we waste money on etc. ... Still it might not be that desirable. I say 120 isn't that long - I'd take it, *of course* - 120 healthy years! Though I don't count on it *at all*.
