Guest guest
Sorry to be such a pain about this. The lab where my son will get his bloodwork done is saying that that a Free T3 Index includes a Free T3, or IS a free T3, depending on who is answering the question. I have listed here on an old test under the heading Total T3 INdex: Total T3 (2.0 nmol/L ref .9 -2.8) T3 uptake (.28 ref range .22-.37) Free T3 Index (1.9 ref range .9-2.8). Are any of these the Free T3 I need to help determine thyroid function? Any clarification would be very appreciated. Anita
Guest guest
Anita, IF that is a free T3, it is very, very low. The correct ref. range is 2.4 to 6.7. You would want his free T3 in the upper quarter, so at least, 5.4 or so. However, I do not think this is a free T3 value :-( [ ] Free T3 vs Free T3 Index: Andy, Jim, anyone?
