Guest guest
Suz: I thought it was hard to get too much selenium and that brazil nuts were one of the few choices. So what are eating that's causing too much selenium? More than one or two Brazils a day are lots of calories. BTW, I'm allergic to Brazil nuts (perhaps some of you will remember my adventures in allergies last year?) and take a small amount of selenium as a supplement. > Also interesting to contemplate the notion that too much of any one food > could/would become toxic. Guest guest
T3 is the active hormone that's in your blood right now. Generally, TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone produced by the pituitary) is the thing that's slow to change, not the T3. A "free T3" screen should tell you where your thryoid is actually at. It could definitely be affected by the selenium, if you're a responder. I find that encouraging, unless like me and zinc, it makes you feel hyperthyroid, even when you're not. pennypjeanneus <pj7@...> wrote: Patrice,Would you stop the Armour and stay on the selenium? Guest guest
PAula You can have your thyroid removed.. a friend had this done recently and the thyroid looked like a rotten apple, half mush.I'm sure a sprinkilinmg of salt more religiously makes more sense than most band aid measures that your endo can come up with IMO. tony > > Patrice, > Would you stop the Armour and stay on the selenium?
