Guest guest
I'd like some input from the group on whether or not I should include a row on my spreadsheet for selecting a grain food each day such as oatmeal, wild rice, sprouted wheat bread, wheat germ, etc. In the past I recall some discussion about whether or not grains are even necessary in a CRON diet, and if so, are they necessary daily? I'm also a bit stuck on potatoes, and find myself wanting to put all tubers/roots onto the same selection line on the spreadsheet. It would look something like this: potato, sweet potato, carrot, beet, turnip. (The idea being to include a small serving each day of something that is dug up out of the ground.) I don't even know if that makes sense--if such foods have enough in common with each other to be grouped together that way. I suppose I'm thinking, "Hey, they're all starchy." Another thought I had was to make the grains and tubers optional, at the bottom of the spreadsheet, if the daily tally warranted these extra calories.
