Guest guest
Ben stated: Another good food, which hopefully I'll start making soon, is kefir. It's higher in protein and lower in carbs (and if made with low fat milk is also lower in fat) than milk or yogurt, and has additional vitamins and other goodies (I seem to like that phrase) from the bacteria. I would say most fermented foods in general would be good to add to your list. (BTW, I just so happen to have a book called " Ferment and Human Nutrition " .) Ben I've been consuming skim milk kefir for about three months now and I love it. After some experimentation, I now consume cold, sucralose sweetened kefir each morning on my commute to work, along with a Sherm's megamuffin. It totally relieves any hunger I have and, as Ben mentioned, it's a great drink nutrition wise. I use the Teldon floater (www.teldon.ca) and rotate two plastic containers. I put the finished kefir in the refrig and start a new culture each night at bedtime. The next morning I have cold kefir ready for my commute. It's hassle free and a great CRON food.
