Hi Everybody,

Hey, does anybody on the list work for the NIH, or know anyone who does?

I am a near vegetarian, I have been eating fish, egg whites, and non fat

milk, but not much. I am still getting most of my protein from legumes,

tofu, nuts, and rice. I have always used the standard vegetarian

recommendations about mixing (legumes and rice for example) to get complete

proteins.

Does anyone have an opinion, or know of studies regarding the importance of

getting very close to 100% of each essential amino acid, and not too much of

any one?

A short while back, there was some discussion about foods high in Vitamin E,

but calorie dense. I didn't see any mention of Wheat Germ Oil. Though

obviously high in fat, you can get 98% of the RDA of E for 36.1 calories (.3

tablespoons).
