In my various readings over the past few years, I ran across a product called Satietrol which sounded interesting to me as a means of improving appetite control while doing CR. I researched the archives on both lists and found a few inquiries about it. It was interesting that a few people offered their OPINIONS about it without ever having TRIED the product.

Last week I decided I'd be the one to actually give it a test drive. It works. Extremely well, in fact. I think because I'm so physically active, a typical CR meal never leaves me feeling satisfied. Other people brag that they've totally lost their appetites on CR and that they never are tempted to overeat anymore. I wish! For me it is a constant struggle. I'm finding, however, that the recommended dose of Satietrol 15 minutes before a meal truly calms my appetite. It makes me feel, following a meal, that enough really was enough. End of struggle.

According to the manufactuer, Satietrol is designed to stimulate CCK in the small intestine, which improves satiety. Read their explanation here: www.hungeroff.com. (Be sure to click on the professionals link at the bottom of the home page for more detailed background.) I bought my Satietrol at GNC, but will order it from VitaminShoppe.com next time to save a few bucks. Don't order if from the hungeroff.com website--that's more expensive than GNC after you pay their shipping costs!

I really hesitate to endorse a product to the list. On the other hand, this one is certainly helping me to live with CR...I'd be remiss if I DIDN'T mention it.
