Fran and all,

With my migraine history I have found that a single cup of coffee

will generally prevent any migraine problems. I don't know if it

would have stopped them when I was younger.. I drank only tea then.

When I started taking night classes from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the

80's I drank that dreadful instant stuff out of machines to stay

awake. I learned by accidents that if I went without the coffee I got

a headache, one day a friend served me brewed decaf which I thought

was real..boom a headache.

Not liking the idea of being so dependent on the coffee I did wean

myself off of what I was used to drinking and and now just take the

one cup in the morning as a medicinal prevention for migraines. No

doctor suppervision or prescription required. I must admit to also

learning better to deal with stress, avoid fatigue and menopause all

could also be at play. But still with my history I sure like the

security that cup of coffee gives me.

Lucy

So there's some sort of beneficial action going on in the brain.
