Guest guest
I too have been trying the satietrol (chocolate flavor) I have found that if I eat my usual good breadfast and then have the satietrol at around lunch time ( I've been adding a little guar gum to it to make it more like a thickshake) I can make it through to dinner without any trouble. I then have my optimally nutritious dinner and usually can make it through to bed time without any problem. on a couple of nights I had another satietrol after dinner. Guest guest
Francesca asks, "Suz: How many cals a day were you eating when you weren't on the Satietrol versus now? Or do you mean that the calories are not that much different; it's just that you don't feel as hungry?" ***Before, I was aiming at 1500 calories a day, but kept coming in around 1800 or 2000 due to poor compliance. Now I'm hitting 1500 easily, including the Satietrol calories. Of course it has occurred to me that this actual reduction in calories might be too much too quickly, but since compliance is such an ordeal for me, I'm going to continue doing what I'm doing since it WORKS for me. Also let me note that adhering to 1500 during my first year of CRON wasn't nearly so difficult as during the past several months. I began to feel like the concentration camp survivors who obcessed with food for the remainder of their lives after their releases. This is a real phenomenom, btw, that I'm surprised we haven't heard more about amongst CRONies. Additionally, the past six months have been wrought with hormonal changes and the onset of "empty nest syndrome" which added, I believe, to the challenges of maintaining the CRON diet. I have been both physically and emotionally hungry! Let me reiterate that I'm amongst the most skeptical people on Earth--nevertheless, I feel that the Satietrol has given me a new lease on my CR program. I certainly wouldn't add Satietrol to your program if everything is going along fine for you. But if you WANT to do CRON, yet can't quite get a handle on the discipline that is required, Satietrol might warrant your attention.
